[One can almost hear Harrison's hand scrubbing over his face and through his hair.]

If I could tell you everything, you'd know everything, Barry, but I can't. Tell you. Everything. Barry. Everyone, everyone you know at home, everyone you love, they'll be affected if you change the timeline because of what you know. Why do you need to know that?

[speedforcer]

Because if he is who I think he is, it means I can't trust any of you.

[and it also means that he needs to find a way to keep himself from doing something he knows he'll regret. he may be here for the man in the yellow suit, but it means nothing if he can't reveal his existence back home.]

[There's a long silence. On the other end, Harrison is on a stool, shoulders hunched under an invisible weight, glasses tossed on the table behind him, eyes closed. Obviously Barry has already come close enough to figuring it out. And if he stops trusting them, they can't help him. He's too angry, he doesn't really know them, he'll push them all away.]

No. Barry. It doesn't. We are not telling you what you want to know because we don't want to influence your reality in ways it should not be influenced.

[It's not fair. He knows it's not fair. There will be so much pain in Barry's future, but do they even have the right to spare him that and risk changing everything they know?

He can't beat me the way he is, and I might kill him if he tries ...]

Whether or not he is who you think he is, you can't beat the man who killed your mother yet, Barry. You're not fast enough. Yet.

[it's all the affirmation he needs. the very fact that harrison brought up his mother's murderer.

eobard thawne is the man in the yellow suit.

there's no response to harrison's words though. nothing verbal, at least. instead, it's the sound of static, forced in a way that he's nowhere near capable of controlling just yet. but the safety of his phone isn't really a concern given the fact that it ends up dropped on the floor, the rush of air signalling barry's departure from the scene.

he won't be back for a while.]

[It's too late. For a lot of things. Harrison sighs, loud on the other end but still unheard because who even knows where Barry's rushed off to, he can only hope it isn't straight to find Eobard.

Who he texts. A head's up is better than a surprise visit.

Then Harrison sets the phone aside and gets back to work. Barry will be back. Eventually. Hopefully.]
